  • First Floor (Room 110)
  • Second Floor (Room 239)
  • Third Floor (Room 301)

Always check availability through the receptionist, 7-3168. Conference rooms are not for casual use. However, the front lobby is available for informal arrangements or studying. Please be respectful and tidy.

A small break room on the 2nd Floor (Room 212) is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and water dispenser for public use. Please be courteous of the space and others' property.

Parking

Starting March 2024, parking at the UWRL will no longer be free.

Permit required: The UWRL lot has been designated as Green/Yellow (the lowest tier parking passes for faculty, staff, and students). Faculty and many students should already have parking passes that will allow parking at the UWRL.

Visitor parking permits: Campus visitors and students with any color of parking permit can park at the UWRL.
Students or student visitors with a Blue or other housing permit can park at the UWRL.
Visitors without a permit will need a visitor pass to park at the UWRL—these will be available from the receptionist starting in March 2024.

Bicycle Parking: Bicycle parking is located on the southeast side of the bridge in the main parking lot. Alternatively, indoor bicycle parking is available on the first floor of the Hydraulics Laboratory, on the northeast wall.
Do not bring bicycles through the lobby.

Recycling

A large recycling bin for cardboard is located on the east wall in the hydraulics bay. Please break down all boxes. Do not contaminate the bin with non-recyclable items.

Additional bins for aluminum, paper, and plastic are located throughout the building. Please inform the receptionist if you notice overflow.

Shop Services

Carpentry, plumbing, machine & metal work, welding, and related services are available on an hourly basis. Changes are paid through the appropriate managed account and must be set up prior to completion. Work authorization must be signed by the faculty member or service account manager.

All shop services should be coordinated through Zac Sharp

• Do not borrow shop tools without authorization.

• Only authorized personnel is allowed in the shop area.
