Ayman Nassar receives AWWA Intermountain Section Scholarship

The American Water Works Association (AWWA) Intermountain Section has selected USU/UWRL graduate student Ayman Nassar to receive this year’s Eva Nieminski Honorary Graduate Science Engineering Scholarship. The scholarship was created “to encourage science education and training related to the field of conservation, water quality, supply, resources, reuse or treatment.”

Ayman is a PhD candidate in USU’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Ayman’s research focuses mainly on emerging tools in remote sensing for agricultural and water management and using different remote sensing platforms at multiple scales to estimate evapotranspiration in natural environments. His other research interests include hydrologic modeling, stormwater management, environmental assessment, feasibility studies, master planning, and community development. In addition, Ayman is a graduate level teaching assistant.
