UWRL Environmental Engineers featured in "Creating Tomorrow" Magazine

October 15, 2016

Dr. Beth Neilson and her team were featured in the College of Engineering’s 2016 annual magazine Creating Tomorrow about their research in Alaska.

Dr. Beth Neilson and her team

Every year, Neilson and her team spend their summers in the Alaska where they study how temperatures affect the streams and rivers and what climate change means to the fragile Arctic environment. Using in-stream sensors, the team are able to identify how, and when, temperature changes in the water and provides a deeper understanding to the arctic watersheds.
